In my town, the problem of poverty is quite serious. In my opinion, some people are poor because they do not have a job or they earn too little. Homeless people can be helped by donating money, food and clothes to charities. Last month, I gave some old clothes to a homeless shelter because I wanted to help people in need. I think the government should build more affordable housing in the future and help unemployed people. As a result, fewer people would have to live on the streets. It is an important problem because everyone should have a safe place to live. I believe that working together can improve the lives of many people.
